What should I expect during my session?

When you arrive at the studio, you will be asked to fill out a brief medical history questionnaire to ensure there is no preexisiting condition that would influence your session.  Feel free to ask any questions about your session or discuss any and all concerns with your therapist.

The therapist will leave the room so that you may undress to your level of comfort and lie under the sheet or towel on the table.  Except for the region the therapist is working on, you will remain draped the entire time.  The therapist will announce when they will enter the room to begin massage.

Please inform your therapist of any changes that need to be made in temperature of the room, light level and sound level.  Be sure to tell your therapist when you would like more or less pressure at anytime during your massage.  If you say nothing, your therapist will assume you are enjoying the session.

When should I reschedule?

We strongly encourage you to reschedule after your appointment.  You will recieve a reminder call the day before your next appointment.

What if I need to cancel?

Should it become necessary to cancel your appointment, we do require 24 hours notice.  Cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment may require full payment for the scheduled session.

What should I do before and after my session?

It is recommended that you drink plenty of water before and after your massage therapy session.  By doing this, you make it easier for your muscles to hydrate and give the body plenty of fluids to wash out toxins that are pushed out of the muscles during the massage.

Allow yourself a good night's sleep after your massage and let your body fully regenerate and revitalize.

It is sometimes common for soreness to be present the day following your massage even if you did not feel like th pressure was too much.  This is a good indicator that a massage was needed and that you should schedule a follow-up appointment.  Drink plenty of water, put an ice pack on any sore areas.  Soreness should subside within 24 hours.
